Information Techonology Intern


As an IT Intern at SmashFly for 3 or up to 6 months, you’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and workplace skills, which will help you throughout your IT career. You’ll be working with employees who are experiencing procedural or operating difficulty with IT applications, hardware or services, both on site and remotely across the country. You won’t be on your own however! When your stumped, our senior IT staff will help your learn how to work through issues you can’t resolve on your own. You will get to meet with all our incoming hires, and configure their computers, IP phones, hardware, and software.   • As the IT Intern, you’ll be providing tier 1 support across SmashFly, which may include but is not limited to, answering employee questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching employees software or hardware functionality, and communicating IT policies.
  • You’ll use our help desk system to Log and track all help desk inquires to help us maintain historical records and document related issues.
  • You’ll Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot and fix PC hardware and software issues, remote access issues, printing issues and network connectivity issues.
  • You analyze and monitor our Enterprise Anti-Virus reports and remove viruses and malware on infected machines. You’ll correct various issues using documented procedures, available tools, personal knowledge and existing skills.
  • Other assignments as they come up!


  • A High School Diploma, preferably with specialized training in Computer Science
  • 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting computers, preferably at a help desk!
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to define problems and propose solutions
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Office
  • Basic networking experience is preferred.
