As Regional Sales Manager, Channel and Partnership Sales, you will work to grow sales through some of our most strategic channel partnerships to further the company mission. In this role, you will be responsible for growing and retaining partnerships through strong relationship-building and ongoing client and sales rep engagement strategies.  This position will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.

What you’ll be contributing to

The entire Business Development team is responsible for finding, managing & nurturing SmashFly’s key partner relationships and is a major source of revenue for the overall business model. This position requires high levels of creativity, strategic thinking, sales and leadership skills as you will be called upon to identify and drive some of our top initiatives while working cross functionally with our Product, Engineering, Marketing and Legal teams.  

  • Generate leads and close deals through channel partners, aiming to meet and exceed quota attainment for the specific channel
  • Partner internally to lead a complex solution sale of SmashFly products and solutions
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute sales objectives and strategies to gain market share through partners
  • Define partnership/market requirements, produce qualitative and quantitative analysis of product/program performance, aggregate feedback, explore new strategic opportunities
  • Track, analyze and communicate key metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships
  • Represent SmashFly in external meetings with senior executives, both internally and externally
  • Responsible for planning and identifying appropriate partnerships to drive revenue growth and market penetration
  • Work closely with Business Development team to secure new and manage ongoing partnerships
  • Remain current on market requirements and the latest competitive trends and partnership/channel opportunities
  • Work closely with sales and finance to forecast performance and develop customer, revenue and margin growth objectives
  • Participate in a weekly meeting with Channel Managers, Directors and Chief Strategy Officer to share lessons learned, best practices, and build tools and resources

 The skills you should have

  • BA or BS Degree
  • 10+ years of related work experience in sales, business development, partnerships/alliances or other related role with technology and/or Human Resources-focused companies
  • Proven track record of organizational leadership
  • Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales goals. Hunger for challenge and opportunity to work within an emerging market and team
  • Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills – with the ability to develop working relationships at all levels of management and including the Sales Team
  • Organizational and analytical skills combined with strong ability to influence others
  • Understanding of SmashFly’s strategic and competitive position
  • Demonstrated success in a business development, sales or strategic marketing role
  • Extensive knowledge of the HR Tech landscape and strong existing relationships within the industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to craft a compelling message to articulate SmashFly’s story to partners and align both companies’ interests
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to execute successful projects with minimal guidance in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational, program management skills with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and requests.
  • Must be comfortable with a balance of day-to-day execution and mid-term planning.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills. Familiarity with preferred
  • This is a quota carrying position, responsible for a revenue number from assigned Channel Partners
  • Remote position
  • Travel 15-25%
  • Startup experience is a plus
